CSA week 1 overview

Okay, here’s how this is going to work between now and October: every week when I pick up my CSA basket I’ll let you know what’s in it and my plan for it. I’ll link to recipes that are already on my site or ones I use from other sites, but if you want the inside scoop on every single thing I make and how I prep, consider becoming a patron so you can follow along.

In the basket:
candy stripe beets with greens
kale
head lettuce
cilantro
breakfast radishes with greens
strawberries
bok choy
crunchy sprouts!

The plan:
1. Pan seared salmon with shaved beet and herb salad dressed in lemony yogurt and poppy seeds, charred bok choy
2. falafel flavored with cilantro, beet greens and red onion served on flatbread with radish tzatziki, lettuce, pickled red onions and mint
3. Golden oat milk panna cotta with macerated strawberries
4. Tempeh tacos with radish, apple and green onion slaw
5. Smoked trout kale caesar with buttery sourdough breadcrumbs (made from Joe Gomez’s amazing bread, which you can order here!)
6. Head lettuce salad with tahini dressing, crunchy sprouts and cucumbers (probably served with this brothy pasta number cause I got all the stuff)
